Richland Chambers lake level over 1 ft low

Richland Chambers reservoir is now about 1ft 3in low. Fishing has been good over all just not many people fishing. If you don’t know the lake very good watch out for stumps. Lots of broken boats this year. If you do break a prop or need a new one check here.

Sand Bass are mainly being caught deep. There is some surfacing mainly early in the day. The better catches are coming out of 20 to 28ft of water around humps or points trolling or jigging spoons or slabs in these areas. 

Crappie have been good being caught around the timber in 15 to 30 ft of water. They are suspending down 7 to 18ft deep depending on the time of day, wind and sun light. Most are being caught on minnows with some coming on jigs.

Black bass doing fair being caught early around boat houses and stick ups using top waters and rattle traps 2 to 4ft of water. Carolina rigs on points and humps doing good midday in 8 to 12ft of water.

Catfish are good on windy banks 1 to 3ft of water on shad or punch bait. Also being caught in 12 to 16ft of water around timber.
